GPU fan spin, but not getting detected

So my father tried to play a bit of Skyrim a while ago. But his integrated graphics in the i5-2400 kinda couldn't cut it. So I searched for a bit and found an old gt640 from Zotac that I had for quite a long time now. I connected it, and it isn't getting detected. The system boots and everything, the fans spin, but the card isn't detected. I tried updating the bios, trying a different slot etc. but no luck. Would anybody please have any tips for me? Thanks for any help.:D

CPU: i5-2400

RAM: 4GB DDR3 1333 MHz

Motherboard: P8H67-M PRO

(Sry for my English, it's not my 1st language)

Try clearing CMOS and or go into bios using integrated graphics and set primary graphics to PCIE, save and switch to output on GPU. If this isn't working, the card could be dead.
