[F@H] Issues with web client and with utilization

Hi Everyone,

I've recently upgraded my rig to a pretty good one, and I figured that in case the PC is idle I can give some help on this cause.

I've successfuly installed the client and set up my profile. However after my PC restart I've noticed 2 things.

  1. The client.https://client.foldingathome.org/ webpage was constantly refreshing
  2. My GPU is bearly utilized while my slider is on Full

I have a 2080 Super in my PC and as per Task manager it's 8% utilized, which is weird as I would tought that it would start using the GPU as well once Idle. (at the momment for testing out I've enabled to run all the time).

OP: Windows 10 Pro N

Up to date nvidia drivers

Thank you for helping. :)

1. I advise just using the Advanced Client locally. Go to your system tray (assuming Windows), right click the Folding icon > Advanced Control

2. Via Windows task manager? Folding usage on Nvidia cards falls under the 'CUDA' chart:

By default Task manager shows '3D' performance

(Again, assuming Windows).

Well, I feel like a fool. Indeed the graphics card was there and i't using 84% so that's better.

For webclient in the end I made some basic t-shooting and, after cookie and cache delete it's started working. :)

Thanks for the info.

Are you using Chrome? If so, don't use it for the web client. Use Edge or Firefox.

Thanks for the advice. Indeed I'm using Chrome.

No problem. That is an issue I discovered, but it doesn't seem to happen in other browsers.
