Pc building advice from Intel.

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

To make this all short and concise, I will go straight to the point. Intel is providing pc building advice, and I was if you guys could evaluate it and tell me how good it is.

I think it genuinely good for new pc builders to be able to take advice from a big name reputable company instead of them having to search youtube for a build guide.

Eh its a guide.  Im immediately turned off because its from Intel but if it helps someone that's great (Id say the same about AMD).

In the end its not a bad guide, I just skimmed but didn't see any glaring issues.  I would retract my statement about it being from intel if they had included pics of Intel and AMD CPU mounting pictures.

the thing is for new builders a big name like intel is so much more trustworthy than a YouTuber.

I.... don't know what to say to this and absolutely do not agree - as I don't (this is my opinion) believe Intel has anything of my best interest in mind, whereas a Youtuber could.  Intel just wants me to buy their shit.  At least the tuber just wants to me get him a view, maybe a sub.

This is subjective for the most part.

There are a lot of decent Youtubers out there who provide a more simple and unbiased approach for both AMD and Intel "How To" builds.

To some extent yes.

But realistically from my experience, most of the people I've come across who asked to build a PC for them don't even know what Intel is. Many of them don't really care if I suggest either an Intel or AMD build. Most of the time, they'll tell me that they have a tight budget or they just want to use it to play COD or Minecraft or they just want something for school work.
