Pcie lock won't budge

It seems my Pcie lane lock won't budge no matter how much force I apply to, even with a chopstick trick. Will it stay like this forever?

There are several different designs for those.  Some slide, some hinge, some push to the side.  It vaguely looks like a hinge type, but google isn’t giving me anything clear, assuming it even got the mobo right and it’s the one in your sig.  Got pix?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Do you have a video card in it that you're trying to remove?

That one is the push lever one.  Just push it down from one of the two sides.

The only hard part is trying to access the lever around large heatsinks.

This is your motherboard here.  Assuming your SIG isn't outdated?

This levers are really badly designed,  on my board when I push it down the moment I pull my gpu up, it gets also pushed up with it locking the gpu so I have to push it down again, really dumb.  And there isn't much wiggle room either, usually I end up holding it down with one finger while carefully trying to remove the gpu,  it's just soooo dumb all they had to do was make the lever a bit bigger and maybe *not* snap back right the moment I only gently pull my gpu up...

Lol yeah,  sorry, without pictures it's really hard to say that the OPs issue is,  just had to rant a little how badly and frustrating some computer parts are designed..

Don't get me started on the big 18pin power cable that's like stuck as it was secured with super glue every time I pull it...
