What CPU/GPU, what games/software do you run?

What country?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

USA

1080p 144hz free-sync displays are around $150

1080p 240hz free-sync displays are $230 right now, probably just get that for gaming

Otherwise save up a bit more, and get a 1440p 100-120hz ultrawide around $400, also has free-sync.

just check the PC part picker mostly.

Will I see more of a difference with 1080p 144hz free-sync or 1080p 240hz free-sync?

I'd probably just go with 240hz so you never have to worry about it

Of course most AAA games won't run above 200fps, even if you had 3600mhz RAM at low timings.

but things like CS:GO will do just fine, you still get a small benefit in AAA games anyways.
