Old Motherboard ram question

Scugog

A friend of mine has an older motherboard i'm going to try to upgrade. This is the link of the specs

https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/51997/intel-desktop-board-dq67sw.html

My question is...will it take the following RAM....

Kingston 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM ECC Unbuffered DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600)

My question is based that the mobo does not support ECC...

Thoughts and opinions with my thanks

Negative, you could try to use it as it won't damage anything that I'm aware of, but it will just refuse to POST in all likelihood.

Well the ram showed up yesterday and I gave it a try and it worked flawlessly. J was expecting it not to do I'm very happy. 16 gigs in this older PC is awesome. .... especially for only 30$
