Yeap i see that only DQ850-M is in tier A, but there is no reviews for the 750w or 850w psu's with 3080+overclocked i7 or i9 to see how pple connect them with only two cables 8pin separate to 3 or three cables 8pin, and how well the setup is doing

The ones that have been doing the reviews and testing are using 3 separate cables.

For the 3080 and 3090's....

And they aren't using 750W PSUs either....

Anyone know about Super Flower Leadex Platinum SE 1000w. i got this for about 160$ with 5 years warranty. i read some review about the non SE version and it pretty good but it from 2013. So what is the different between those two, is it still compatible with others Plat. i don't find information even in the official page, thanks.

from what I can see it's just a "special edition" of Leadex Platinum

and I did find it on the official page: https://www.super-flower.com.tw/product-data.php?productID=108&lang=en

yeah, i did find that page.

i mean the different on the official page, like the year it is released (the SE version, is there any different to the original one, it doesn't clear it. because the Model/NO are both SF-1000F14MP. This could be the same product i assume.

it likely is, maybe it's because the original leadex platinum had a white enclosure that they called this one an SE

What about High Power 500W 80+ ECO Bronze?

No idea, but it looks group regulated, i.e tier D at best.

Also, is there any way of distinguishing a Tier D from a Tier A version of the Antec EarthWatts EAG Pro? Can I safely assume if I am buying an AU version that it will be the Tier A?

Warranty. Seasonic made unit has 7 years warranty while FSP versions have 3 or 5 years. So if you're buying a unit from the store which is claimed to have 7 years warranty and receive a unit with 3/5 years then it's FSP, these versions also somewhat different externally.

Seasonic version :

That spreadsheet is so dang complete (almost), I'm waiting for a column to be added for what type of SR components are used.  :D :D :D

Only SR ? Why ? And it's far from being complete really, we haven't filled up even the most common brands yet completely, not to mention everything else.

You know.  Like using Schottky diodes instead of MOSFETs to save money.  I don't mean anything like "brand" of components.  Too deep dive.

Seems like low hanging fruit.

Like I said before, it would be nice if reviewers did deeper dives into fans outside of just reading the label on the fan.  Even a closer look at fan controller type would be nice.

Well, that's probably more like a work for 'reviews index' sheet since barely anyone but Aris does teardowns with parts lists anyway and unit index is already too complex.

I was just reminded of this when I was looking at the CSB platform from CWT and realized it uses Schottky diodes for SR and I was like, "Shit.. even CV650 is better than that."  :(

Half tempted to send Aris a CV650 just so he can review it.

I dare you. Also please send some more CX, two reviews in 3 years is almost EVGA'ish.

Also, do you still have some contacts with Andyson ? We're wondering if Andyson stock platform in Aerocool P7 / Andyson N / TX has OTP or not. P7 has it but Aris didn't test OTP ATM of reviewing R, neither it's mentioned in the specs sheet. I find it hard to believe that Andyson is that cheap to not include OTP in such high end units...

What about CX-F?  :D

Seriously. There haven't been any new PSUs other than CV since RM!  :D  If you didn't know better, you'd think I was slacking!

In all seriousness, with IEC 629368 requirements and new IDL coming down from above, pretty much everything is getting a refresh in 2021.

I'm afraid not.  :(  I'm afraid I might have burnt that bridge telling them that if they could upgrade to Chroma 8000's, put in a shop floor system and install more burn in cabinets that they could get Corsair's business... only to have someone else come in and tell them "thanks, but no thanks."  I'm happy for them that they got so much business from EVGA and Antec since then, though.

More examples of the EVGA GA having issues over on the EVGA Forum.

So it does seem that model does indeed have issues with the 3000 series cards.
