Hello, seems noone saw my post xD Still need help choosing one.

I don't know witch psu to get, as it's my first build ever.. And i want it to be perfect. Thing is i would like it to be power efficiency as much posible.. As the pc runs 10-15hrs daily, and efficiency would help.

Was thinking: Be Quiet Straight Power 11, 550W or 650W

PC spec below.

CPU - Ryzen 3600x or 3800X

GPU - Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT

Mobo - X470 or X570

RAM - 2 Sticks (32gb) Corsair Vengeance LPX

Storage - 2tb Samsung 970 EVO Plus

Fans - 6 (low speed, low noise)

Thanks for help.

550W would do for any single-GPU gaming build.

i'd up that to 650w and you'd be right for any single gpu (non-hedt/tr) desktop

but in this case, 550w is more than enough

Wanted to get some feedback

Im looking to get an rx 5700xt sometime in the next couple months)

Im currently  using an EVGA B3 650 watt

Should i get a better quality psu before upgrading?

My pc isnt overclocked or anything, im running an i5 8400 with a 1TB HDD, m.2 ssd and 16gb ram at 2400

i'd recommend you do, the b3 is a double forward, which will likely whine on that 5700xt. it's mostly just the sound that comes from it that can be very annoying, nothing damaging to the psu or the card itself.

so would it be safe? yes

would it be pleasant? unlikely

I was looking at the corsair rmx series, the white one that comes with white cables as it goes well with my build(white and black tower)

Would that be a good option or should i look for something better

that would be an excellent option, if only a bit overkill on wattage. keep in mind it was the old version that came with individual sleeving though, the new one doesn't

Im also considering the rtx 2060 KO for $299 but im waiting for reviews

Coil whine likely  with that as well?

Im currently running an rx 570 4gb and dont have any issues

Would rather not buy a new psu at the moment

possibly, i haven't really seen testing with it myself... maybe nvidia should send a couple to me to test with my cxm... a man can dream

you can try running it with the b3 and see if it does, and go on from there. just keep in mind it's possible to happen

and again, it's just the sound, there's nothing damaging to coil whine

And nothing died?

It amazes me when something is a bad or potentially explosive yet could last a decade.

Only for this??? doesn't even exceed 30mV under 110% load and have full protections, I still don't understand how this PSU are in tier D+, I think is a great PSU. I don't think anyone buys the 750 watt model when their PC consumes 900 watts (for example)...

hence it's placement in tier d+ and not in tier d-e

This is my current PSU

https://www.microcenter.com/product/485309/powerspec-750-watt-80-plus-gold-atx-fully-modular-power-supply

Wanted to know if anyone used this model before. I've had it since 2018 when I built my second budget PC (Specs in sig) I'm told this is a Microcenter branded PSU so wanted to know the verdict on whether its decent or not. I only game (lightly atm, but that will change when I upgrade GPU) and browse on the net with it and thus far haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. But was curious!

Leonidas Specs: Ryzen 7 5800X3D | AMD 6800 XT Midnight Black | MSI B550 Gaming Plus | Corsair Dominator CL16 3200 MHz  4x8 32GB | be quiet! Silent Base 802

Maximus Specs: Ryzen 7 3700x | AMD 6700 XT Power Color Fighter | Asrock B550M-Itx/AC | Corsair Vengeance CL 16 3200 MHz 2x8 16 GB | Fractal Ridge Case (HTPC)
