Should i upgrade from my IPhone XR

Tobias8312

Hello everyone

i have been thinking about if I should switch my IPhone XR for a OnePlus 7T.

I haven’t been liking the picture quality from my IPhone, will it be any better on the OnePlus 7T?

Would it be a good upgrade?

I can trade in my IPhone XR and get the OnePlus for about 50$

how big is the difference between the two?

Or should i stick with the Iphone XR down the line instead of switching to the OnePlus 7T

Best regards

Tobias

Imo the picture quality of my 7 Pro isn't mind blowing. It's good but that's about it. If it's only for the pics I'd say keep the iPhone or upgrade to something like a Pixel or S10.

Sounds like a downgrade to me.

Sounds like a device issue as even my iPhone 7 is great to look at. Wife’s XR is superb.

OnePlus isn't that great camera wise. Never have been. Samsung, Google, they're both quite a bit better.

Sounds wise.  The only things the 7T's camera system really has going for it are the telephoto lens and macro mode; everything else is a step down from the XR.  Besides, when 2020 rolls around you'll probably be looking at an iPhone 12 (or similar) that blows both phones out of the water.

In terms of stock camera, your iPhone will beat out the oneplus 7t. If you can get a working gcam port installed onto the 7t, however, then picture quality will definitely be better

Your phone is like a year old, is the picture quality really that bad? Every phone for the last like four years has been marginal improvements at best. I'd say stick with XR, a true upgrade will be when there's like three years between phones in my opinion. Be happy with what you got man, I bet you it's pretty good but only looks bad cuz there's other shit out there that's newer.

If you want an actual camera upgrade, look into getting an actual camera. There isn't a heck of a lot in phone land that is decisively better on all fronts. If you're looking at phone telephoto, you may be even less pleased owing to the smaller sensors employed for the telephoto module.

My camera lens sees the present…
