Best gaming display for £800?

currently own a cheap 144hz 1080p TN. 

play fps games and rpg's mainly 

ips vs tn? big difference ? would love a ips for rpg games but would I regret it when palying shooters like Rainbow six?

If you have the horsepower, then I think Acer Predator X34P is a pretty safe bet. G-Sync, IPS etc.

(That's if you want ultra-wide)

If not, the good old trusty PG279Q is always one to go with 165Hz, G-Sync, IPS also etc.

It really depends on what you play, TN will always be faster (with the technology available right now at least) than IPS, but IPS looks way, way better in single player games

If you have 800£ to spend i'd go for one fast TN display for competitive games, and then an ultrawide IPS maybe for singleplayer/casual games
