What is the turbo boost for i7 9700(non k)?

Hello, anyone knows whats the turbo boost frequency for all 8 cores for i7 9700 non k, r20 scores, r15 scores?

I wouldn't give up the extra multi-threaded performance for 10% more fps when it's already pretty fast for gaming.

The R7 2700 is also only $200 right now

BLCK to 102.98mhz is the best you can do to increase it's frequency if you have a Z chipset.

 

maxing out turbo boost window, removing all power saving features on bios or XTU to unlock TDP also is something to do, but all in all you won't get the all cores frequency as high as the single core turbo ever.

It would only apply for a brand new system, there's no reason to replace an 8700K for gaming for a long while.

 

It's 10-15% the intel chips in gaming, but either has more cores or threads at the same price or lower. for anything besides gaming.

I have a need to replace it. If the next game is as bad as this one, ill

be stuck using an old gpu as I have no cpu head room to up grade. 

 

As much as I prefer a dual system to stream, I also have no choice.

? the 8700K is like in the top 5% of best CPUs for gaming still, there's really no reason to spend a lot replacing it for little gain.

The 9700K/9900K and anything newer like the 10 series are probably in that top 5%.

Anything HEDT or Ryzen 5/7 would be in the top 15-10% and you don't need to really worry about much else.

The 9000 series had <5% IPC gains and didn't push the clock speeds much higher.

 

Even the i7 2600K could hit 4.8-5ghz on really nice chips, with a bit of overkill voltage.

I get that you have a 240hz display, but as long as your 8700K is at or near 5ghz and you have 3000/3200mhz RAM you're fine, as some games will be engine limited and won't get higher fps even with a faster CPU, like say a 5.2ghz 10 series chip that's coming soon.

Doesn’t matter if I use my 120hz monitor. The cpu being at or near 100% usage is the problem. Thus why I would prefer a better one.

Do you really need more than 180fps vs 185 or 190fps?

 

You can just turn up your graphics settings and force a GPU bottleneck or limit your fps if you need to free up CPU resources.

Actually the turbo clocks are:

 

4.7GHz for cores 0-1

4.6GHz for cores 2-3

4.5GHz for cores 4-7

 

Average of 4.575 - not shabby at all.

Can you disable hyperthreading per core on the new 10th gen non K chips?
