Low Cinebench r20 Score with 9700K

When you run CINEBENCH is it installed or are you running it just from the .EXE itself? When I install it, it will recognize what GHz I am running. Right now I ran it just from the .EXE and it is not installed and no matter what I do it still says I am running stock 3.4GHZ, when I know I am running at 4.2GHz @37c idle, lowest idle @20c, MAX Temp @70c running CINEBENCH. AMD RyzenMaster, MSI Command Center, CoreTemp, and Performance Monitor all say 4.2GHz. Odd part, System says, 3.4Ghz. Programming is only as smart as the programmer, damn Humans.

I have got it installed. With default CPU clocks I get a score of about 3200 and with my OC at 5.2 GHz my best score is about 3880 points. Still lower than the 4200 I have seen other people get at 5.2 GHz...

Can just simply be your memory installed performs different then the one others had used.
OCing my memory and tightening timings, just a lil bit not until perfection, gave me a 150pt plus.
Btw, CB20 shows my ryzen 2600 OC when testing. :D

Yeah, it probably is my memory then. I have no idea how to overclock/change the timings for the memory correctly so I just run XMP instead.

It's also possible you have too many back ground apps running, like those RGB thing, NCXT CAM, anti-virus, etc.

I disabled all of them that I could find which made me go from 3700 points to 3880, so it helped but I feel like my score is still a little bit too low. But maybe there was some background app I couldn't find or it is the RAM.

I've done some googling and it seems that the 9700k at 5ghz will do around high 3900s to low 4100s.
