SSD issues

Cybernetic Organism

Hi, my friend just got a Western Digital Green m.2 ssd for his PC, and it is not showing up in the bios. He has a MSI X570 A-Pro. Anyone know what the problem could be? He can't find anywhere to enable M.2 on his bios either (MSI click bios 5).

Thanks!

Is it in slot 1 or 2? It will only work in slot 2.

(The WD Green is an M.2 SATA SSD, not M.2 PCIE)

It's in slot 1 so that would make sense. Thanks for letting me know. I'll let him know to give it a shot.

I should mention though the WD Green are not the best sort of SSD's to get for a Windows install. There are other more fit M.2 SATA SSD's (e.g. an MX500 or 860 Evo), or even certain M.2 PCIE SSD's (like the Intel 660p if you don't use more than 70% of its space.

I've got one myself and never had a problem. He just wanted a cheap option that makes his PC boot faster. I'm very happy with the performance over the price of this thing.
