Something wrong with me SSD?

Recommended Posts

Okay, so I have a new computer, as I only got 220gb of ssd I try to save the space.

Now I had free 130gb of disc space, I started to download Forza Horizon 4 (73gb as it shows)  residential projects in mumbai

Went to my My PC and when I started downloading the game it automatically went to 60gb free space.

I thought okay, It probably just went to ''check'' if I have any free space, as I continue downloading the game the space keeps going down and when the whole game will download I wont have any free space.  flats in mumbai

If anyone knows the issue or the reasoning behind this please answer.

P.S English isn't my main language, if something isn't understandable just ask me I will answer asap.

Hi Mate, the Microsoft Store pre-allocates the disk space so you don't run out part way through the download, and so you should be fine to download the game.

Interestingly, even if you uninstall a game from the store (I just checked this with Forza Horizon 4 Demo), it isn't really deleted as I was able to redownload it in 30 seconds, which my internet @ 100Mbps can't do normally.

Also worth running disk cleanup periodically to clean out your storage (careful if you empty your downloads folder).
