Lines on monitor ONLY when second display is plugged in

I'm at a total loss on this one. My setup was working just fine until one day I started seeing lines on the bottom of my Viotek 144hz 32" VA panel. After futzing with the display port cable, I found it would work for short periods of time, leading me to purchase a new display port cable.... except the new cable presented the same issue immediately. I unplugged my HDMI on my second monitor to try switching to HDMI except, that immediately fixes the issue. Again: unplugging my second unrelated 1080P LG monitor immediately removes the lines on my primary display. I'm so perplexed by that that I don't even know how to begin to troubleshoot it. Any ideas? ever seen this before?1
