Okay...

Currently in use by my family in my home (since I don't have any lying around at uni)

  • My Personal Rig
    • Ryzen 5 1600/GTX 1070
  • My HP Pavilion x360 Laptop
    • Intel i5-8250U
  • My Sister's Lenovo Laptop (don't know the model it's quite old)
    • Intel i3-3xxx/4xxx (not sure)
  • My Parents' Desktop
    • AMD A6-6400K APU
  • Mum's Work Laptop - HP Elitebook
    • Intel i5-5xxx/6xxx I think, not one I use or built so who knows

Not in use

  • My Old Toshiba Satellite Laptop
    • AMD E450 APU
  • An old Dell Optiplex Desktop
    • Pentium 4

My entire family also have tablets that get used quite a bit now as well, all different brands. Sister has an iPad, Mum has a Lenovo, Dad has a Samsung and I have a Huawei. The iPad does mean the Lenovo laptop doesn't get that much use now and tbh if I wasn't at uni my laptop wouldn't get much use either.

EVERYONE. I WIN. I just counted and the grand total comes to 69. FUCKING. NICE.

Now if you count all my extra parts, then I could probably build another 15 or so, but that's not convenient for me. From now on I will try to maintain this number. If I sell/throw away a system, it must be replaced, if I get another one, one has to go.

i7 2600k @ 5GHz 1.49v - EVGA GTX 1070 ACX 3.0 - 16GB DDR3 2000MHz Corsair Vengence

Asus p8z77-v lk - 480GB Samsung 870 EVO w/ W10 LTSC - 2x1TB HDD storage - 240GB SATA SSD w/ W7 - EVGA 650w 80+G G2

3x 1080p 60hz Viewsonic LCDs, 1 glorious Dell CRT running at anywhere from 60hz to 120hz

Model M w/ Soarer's adapter - Logitch g502 - Audio-Techinca M20X - Cambridge SoundWorks speakers w/ woofer

- Main desk PC, 5960X/2080S/32GB

- SFF PC for travel (I often spend several weeks at a time away from home for work and want a good machine with me), 9900K/1070/32GB in custom case, see signature

- Old SFF, 7700K/1070 in InWin Chopin

- Dell XPS 2 in 1 7390, 4K screen/32GB

- GPD Win 2, kinda serves as my main laptop when I'm ot on one of the 2 above

- My previous 2010 PC with i7-970 and GTX970, stationed at a friend's so we can do some gaming when I go to his place (still works great, nobody wants that so better keep it than sell it for $100)

- Macbook, not being used much anymore, but occasionally need to do some stuff on Mac OS so I keep it

- GPD Micro PC - used as "media PC" to drive the projector in my bedroom

- A few SBCs, Raspberry Pi etc, not really in regular use but they occasionally get spun up for temp projects. One of them is a PC (Udoo x86) that I leave running at home when travelling so I can VPN/remote in if I need to grab some stuff

- My old 17" HP laptop from 2009 or so, again works fine but unsellable so it just stays in a cupboard until I find someone who desperately needs a laptop urgently to give it to (have given a couple to family/friends that way before)

- A bunch of vintage computers, 8 or so

F@H
Desktop: i9-13900K, ASUS Z790-E, 64GB DDR5-6000 CL36, RTX3080, 2TB MP600 Pro XT, 2TB SX8200Pro, 2x16TB Ironwolf RAID0, Corsair HX1200, Antec Vortex 360 AIO, Thermaltake Versa H25 TG, Samsung 4K curved 49" TV, 23" secondary, Mountain Everest Max

Used to sell, not much these days, got sick of people's shit. Also, I prefer the term "collector", and I don't need your understanding. :)

Being used currently:

4 rigs in my programming/gaming room,

1 for audio recording/editing,

2 in my bedroom,

5 in my redneck server cabinet,

1 rig in my living room,

my laptop,

my macbook,

Computers that I hook up and goof around with from time to time: (off the top of my head)

1 386 machine,

1 486 machine,

3 pentium rigs,

1 pentium pro rig,

1 pentium ii rig,

1 athlon600/voodoo3 rig,

2 pentium iii rigs,

2 pentium 4 rigs,

1 athlonxp rig

2 athlon64 rigs,

2 powermac g4s

3 socket 775 rigs

(As you can see, I'm aiming to have at least one of every socket, not quite there yet but I'm getting there.)

The rest is in my hoard, all of them are complete except some are missing HDDs or PSUs. If I have the room and they're not in the way, why not keep them? :)

i7 2600k @ 5GHz 1.49v - EVGA GTX 1070 ACX 3.0 - 16GB DDR3 2000MHz Corsair Vengence

Hm. Dunno about my roommate, but I have my one desktop, three laptops (an old Dell Inspiron, a Surface Pro 2, and a Surface Pro 4), two phones (a Galaxy S5, and a Galaxy S8+), and a very old iPad 2.

I only use the desktop, the Surface Pro 4, and the Galaxy S8+ phone on a daily basis, though. Everything else, I hoard until the end of time because I don't wanna sell or give away tech. 😅

But as for keyboards...yeah, you know what, I am going to keep that number to myself.

I’ve got my desktop. I’ve got an RCA Cambio 2-in-1 with an Atom and 2 GB RAM. The living room desktop is a Pentium J2900 (basically the same Atom on roids) and 4 GB RAM, I’ve the components of our old Athlon XP machine (the VIA mobo has SATA, so I could actually stick a modern SSD in there). And my sister has a Lenovo laptop with a Coffee Lake Pentium. Tried to convince her to go AMD, but no dice.

As far as ARM devices, everyone is on some variant of iPhone. My other sister is still using a 6S Plus. I actually need to replace the battery on that soon, come to think of it. No ARM tablets, though that one reddit post of sticking an iPad into an old Macintosh chassis is giving me project ideas.

Myself personally? In terms of PCs that can be operational, four: my main desktop, my laptop, an old ThinkPad T23 and an old HP desktop from 2006. I also have an extra desktop that’s not operational currently because of issues with its RAM.
