Yes, size mostly depends on personal preference and purpose whether it be at a desk, in the living room or any other place. I have tried using a big monitor and it was not fun for me, the muscles in my face will begin to hurt over time and my eyes will hurt followed by a headache, 19"-24" seems to be my sweet spot for gaming or doing any thing else at  2 feet (give or take 2-6 inches) away at my desk.

Also, 19" CRT FTW, I am using one right now viewing the forum through it and as far as gaming goes, it is not perfect, but it is fantastic, my reaction times and game play experience has improved greatly.

It will still be too high of a price for me? even a small monitor. I will stick with gaming on a crt for awhile, at least I can get 120hz at HD resolution?

I have an old 20.1" TN panel Viewsonic, I just use it for reading and multitasking now, it is around 14-15 years old, I had it since new. I was looking at 200-300 dollar 1080p monitors at Best Buy and none of them had a picture that looked as good, the colors looked either way too vibrant or looked dull and washed out.
