Dark Theme Brighter?

Ive narrowed the issue down to ambient light sensors in my displays acting up. I have them disabled, oddly enough...

 

Regardless, the issue only happens midday and I usually am not home then so its possible I just didn't notice until now and it's always happened.

This is new today, when I first load the page the dark theme will be normal, then slowly brighten over the course of a couple seconds. Kind of defeats the purpose IMO...

 

Can be recreated when swapping themes. Using the latest build of Chrome on Windows 10 LTSC

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

Maybe look at your monitor settings or if you have some sort of adaptive brightness going on. I haven't seen any change using my good 'ol Samsung from 2010.

It seems to be something in the browser, the issue is contrast and not brightness. Adjustments in my monitor OSD seems fruitless, and as I said, it only started today. I've had this monitor for years. It happens on all dark theme sites...

Windows 10 LTSB (sup homie)
