3600X or 2600X with liquid cooler

Privatech
Go to solution Solved by Princess Luna,

Get the R5 3600 instead and shift the money you'd save into a decent air cooler.

Hi! Im getting a new PC with Gigabyte RTX 2060 Gaming OC Pro cause tis the best of all RTX 2060s.

I am also getting 3200 MHz memory in case i ever upgrade from 2600X if i do get it. RIght now my choice is 3600X. Is the 2600X a better choice because of a liquid cooler?

The difference is 90 euros which means a great AIO instead of 3600X.

I’d go for the 3600 and upgrade your cooling if need be down the line. You always want to go for more performance than flashy looks with an AIO. Maybe you can pick up a Hyper 212 or something like that for cheap to cool the 3600.

I got a ps5 and a pc pretty ballin

but why get a Hyper 212, when you can get an arctic freezer 34?

Between the two, the 3600X will perform better even with the stock Wraith Spire. I run one on my 3600X and it keeps the chip at reasonable temps.

I'd probably recommend the 3600 over the X as it's a better value, but I preferred the 3600X because of the higher stock clocks.

Main Rig: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X | RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) KLEVV CRAS XR RGB DDR4-3600 | Motherboard: Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX | Storage: 512GB SKHynix PC401, 1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus, 2x Micron 1100 256GB SATA SSDs | GPU: EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra 10GB | Cooling: ThermalTake Floe 280mm w/ be quiet! liquid coolers only for aesthetics, no point overclocking ryzen 3000 ive been told as not worth it due to they already working so high anyway.

got 3600 anyway much better for ram overclocks.
