EVGA 850 GQ gpu pin help?

psydox

So I'm having trouble understanding how many gpu pins there are available on this PSU, I am going to be using it with a gtx 2070 that requires both a 8 pin and a 6 pin, is this psu compatible?

Yeah it'll be compatible. the 6+2 means the connectors will be 6 pins with a little 2 pin one that clips on the side to make it an 8 pin

Image result for 850GQ

Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen R7 3700X @4.4Ghz, GPU: Gigabyte RX 5700 XT, RAM: 32 GB (2x 8GB Trident Z Royal + 2x 8GB TForce Vulkan Z) @3000Mhz, Motherboard: ASRock B550m Steel Legend, Storage: 1x WD Black 1Tb NVMe (boot) + 1x Samsung 860 QVO 1Tb SSD (storage), Case: Thermaltake Core V21, Cooler: Noctua NH-D15

14 pins total.

You just need an 8 pin and a 6 pin connector.

nah it means it's got an 8 pin connector and a 6 pin connector,

6+2 PCIe means it has a PCIe connector that can either be used as a 6 pin or an 8 pin (6+2=8).

:)

It actually has that four times over. You could theoretically plug four RTX 2070s into your PSU.

That's not a good idea though, but a single 2070 will work very well.
