What should I buy an SSD or upgrade CPU?

Hi so I have a Ryzen 3 2200g and I was wondering if I could get the discounted Ryzen 5 2400g or spend money on getting an SSD instead. I stream ROBLOX(Which works perfectly fine) and I plan on streaming Switch games with a capture card.

then get SSD. streaming Switch games means even lower CPU load for running the game (since the PC isn't running it) so more power can go to encoding.

Upgrading a CPU on that board isn't exactly a great idea. Save up for a B450 Pro4 and 4400G

Im using a a320 board with a 2400g and it works completely fine. Even a 2600 would work great on that board.

Just get an ssd.

No, it isnt. It's not ideal, but they work just fine. Watch the benchmarks on YT.

Can you find any video benchmarks? Saw some discussion of people getting low cinebench scores with A320 boards (because of obvious power throttling) but nobody filming a benchmark.

 

@Technozo you could opt for a Ryzen 5 3400G, less cores so smaller power consumption but a higher boost clock for slightly better single core perf.

You just dont get to overclock the CPU cores, big problem imo using with the 2600.

Power limit? neither this or VRM thermal sensors are going to be present on A320

Now this is different, because due to 7nm the 3600 draws less power than the 2600 with no manual overclocking headroom on the CPU cores. Also in this video there's no attempt in measuring the mosfet temperatures...
