"10 ways Windows is just BETTER"?

I guess you mean "Windows 10 is just way better!".

Yeah, but I bet if Linux had the funding and manufacturer support of Windows, Windows would be the "hipster OS".

- linux has much better customization

- linux has a better "toolbox"

- linux has a comparable if not better collection of documentation and resources

- linux has fuully customizable shortcut keys

- linux has much better OS unity. no modern ui crap

- linux has a taskbar if you use a desktop that has one

- linux is more reliable if you run an LTS release

- since linux is much more lightweight than windows means that it runs better on older systems. also it has better driver support for older hardware than Windows. take my elitebook from 2012 for example. in Windows, the mute button doesn't turn red if the machine is muted, and the trackpad has a ton of problems. both because of driver incompatibility. on linux, both of those things are fine and work out of the box. linux also runs a little bit faster on it than windows does sometimes, because the 3rd gen dualcore gets a little sluggish if Windows Update decides to install crap. on linux, no such issue.

i'm just giving my opinion on their points. i didn't contest some, because they were right there. but at this point other than gaming and compatibility Windows doesn't do it "better".

Again, this isn't a "10 ways Linux is just better" thread.

3.11 or get out!

There are earlier versions of Windows. But 3.11 is where the magic started.

correct. however they called out linux in the intro and said that windows is better than it for the reasons given in the video.

As things stand, I am perfectly fine with Windows and I certainly don't see myself switching to any other desktop OS for years to come, if ever.

it would have been dead with Windows 8. Windows 8 was a good OS, but the crap that it got in the media would have killed Microsoft straight up.

All this is coming from a Windows user. They never even TRIED Linux/OSX. It's all biased from a Windows point of view.

If you would of tred all three, you wouldn't be saying this...

Linux is superior in it's own ways. BTW, Linux doesn't get BSODs...

Yeah Microsoft rolled with the punches unlike certain Linux users who can't stomach the fact the linux isn't for everyon and feels the need to defend Linux to the very end.

Of course it doesn't get BSODs because those are a Windows-thing, but Linux does also crash. It's not some magical fucking unicorn from a fantasy-world.

i didn't defend linux on several of their points, including the complaint they mentioned about it.

you can call me a linux fanboy all you want, but try to attack me on my arguments, not on being a fanboy because that doesn't work.

I know, Just saying you won't get a Blue Screen. As in, you won't see it. Not that your system doesn't lock up.
