Could u use ram to accelerate hard drives like optaine storage?

I was thinking about an optane monory, with an m. 2 slot on the Raspberry Pi 4.

 

Then without knowing how fast ddr2 if compared to optane, I was wondering if you could would it be cheaper.

 

And if ramdisks can be used for amds software hardware acceleration, out of the box. And if you could get an adapter to plug a bunch of ram into a PCI Express slot and use it as storage.

 

And if you could 100 gigabytes of old ram, to accelerate a ton of storage.

You'd need to cache it every time you reboot, which defeats the point unless you're running the system 24/7.
