FX-6300 cooler upgrade

mickets

Hey. I'm planning on replacing my FX-6300 stock cooler, as it's getting a bit loud. Do I need to study the situation for long or simply get a hyper 212 (~30€).

I want it to be as silent as possible, for less money as possible. Let's say the budget is 30€.

Any suggestions?

EDIT:

Also, I don't know if gettting something like hyper 212 won't fit properly due to RAM sticks. How can I be sure?

Anything against low profile coolers?

Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 EVO R2.0

Socket: AM3+

Get a Gammax 400, it'll work fine.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Does that mean you can order things from spain? because this one is fine.

Basically any 120mm fan heatsink, with at least 4 heatpipes is going to be the same.

Wait this thing is awesome if it's a 120mm fan, and if it supports AM4 for you I assume eventual upgrade.

The part picker says it has AM4 support. I assume it might just reuse the AM3+ clip for it if it has one.

I don't plan on upgrading, it simply works as my home media server.

It seems rather large, how do I know if it'll fit and not be blocked by the RAM sticks?

I can.

 Check the edit:

all of the coolers are made to clear RAM, unless it has a really tall heatsink, it's going to be fine.

even short 120mm coolers will cut off fins so that it clears RAM, that's what the Gammax 400 does.

your media PC would be quieter with that large arctic cooler.

And for most coolers you can mount them in either direction. Doesn't have to be this way DSC_0003.thumb.JPG.ed061b3e3cd5e33cdaa0fc12631a0593.JPG

Pure Rock: https://www.kuantokusta.pt/informatica/Arrefecimento/Ventiladores-CPU/Be-Quiet-Pure-rock-p-1-432568

If you really need it cheaper, the Gammaxx GTE is also good: https://www.coolmod.com/deepcool-gammaxx-gte-disipador-cpu-precio

That one looks pretty good. What's best, Pure Rock or Hyper 212 Black Edition?

The Hyper 212 BE performs a bit better and the Pure Rock is quieter.
