Best PCIE WiFi card?

QuantumBit

So my powerline just gave in and I can’t run Ethernet across the room, so I need a WiFi card

Ive learnt my lesson from cheaping out on network hardware, so the budget is ~$100 (at max)

All the card needs to do is to be reliable, and have a good warranty. The speed I have right now is 250 Mb/s, so what would be the best internal card?

You'd be aiming for something with good external antennas. Dual band is also a must.

I have a ASUS PCE-AC68 and it performs exactly the same as my wired connection.

Why not USB?

Aren’t the USB ones really bad? I have one and it cost me $12 and it doesn’t even work.

USB models over heat and fail. They have shit for antennas and generally are unreliable.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

When it overheats and drops your connection, you wont be happy then. I see FAR too many post on here about shitty USB networking adapters. Its always, it worked at first then it just randomly started dropping connections. PCIe cards generally never have issues, nor do M.2 adapters.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
