I have a question about a connector

My motherboard has a 12vRGBW connector and I bought and led strip that is 12vRGB. Would I be able to connect that led strip to the rgbw one without damaging it ?

check the pinout for both, if they're both the same standard (common anode/common cathode, and addressable or non-addressable) all that can be an issue is the pinout they decided to use, which you can solve with some jumpers.
