Slow SSD performance boot up

GeorgeKellow

Hi Guys

Just did a fresh install of Windows 10 on my grandparents HP Pavillion DV6 laptop

Have a problem though- Takes ages to boot! It'll give me the Windows 10 logo splash screen, the screen will go blank for 1-2 minutes then the sign in screen will appear.

Its a brand new SSD. I have also tried 2 other drives with FRESH installs

Many thanks

George

Can you download crystaldiskmark and run a bench.  Doesn't seem like a SSD issue.  Something rather fishy is going on.

Any devices connected to the pc can cause long boot times. My external HDDs that I leave plugged in even prevent my system from sleeping properly too. Lol
