HuikaEST

Hello.

So while playing games like Minecraft, Heroes & Generals etc.. my computer just blacks out for some reason.

BIOS is checked, everything good there.

Specs

GPU: Gigabyte RTX 2070 Gaming 8GB GDDR6

CPU: Intel Core I5 6500 3.2MHz

RAM: Crucial 16GB DDR4 2400MHz

MOBO: MSI B150M Gaming Pro

Hard Drive: 1TB HDD

SSD: 120GB Kingston SSD (windows on SSD).

PSU: Corsair CX750M 750W

Anyone have solutions or do i have to send it to the guarantee?

Thanks in advance.

When did this problem started happening ?  What have you done since that time ?  Also try video card in different slot and what not.  Then possibly we can DDU.

If all 3 of your monitors went black then it has to be the video card.  You are using the same geforce drivers now from the time it was working ?

It could be the PSU not giving enough juice to the video card.  But other then that everything works on desktop.

Everything works on desktop yeah. I mean the PSU should be fine for this card, but i think i'm sending the GPU to guarantee, so they could check it out whats wrong.  Also the first black outs i had, the fans were at max speed, but yesterday and today black screen wasn't like overheat or something. Today the fans weren't max speed.

Could be PSU or video card.  Which ever one is easiest to test and negate and what not.

Sounds like the PSU is slowly dying,  do you have warranty on it still ?  If so then great RMA it, but if not then your going to need a PSU but a good 550watt one for only 50 bucks or so.  But again Im not hell bent its the video card, it can also be PSU.  Try a friends video card or get one from the store and test it. Then the picture will be clear and what not.

When you say PSU went down exactly what do you mean ?

I mean the first 2 and a half months it worked fine.. and now on sunday the gpu started doing black screens. I don't think it is my PSU because it's just brand new like 3 months old, but who knows. It could be the problem of GPU, PSU. On monday i will go to the store that i bought the GPU from and get a new one for testing.
