What cpu cooler should I get ?

I know I might not need a new cpu cooler, but the stock intel cooler is ugly. What cpu cooler should I get that’s $60 or under ? Preferably on amazon

Just grab a gammax 400, or a Scythe Fuma 2 for a decently cheap dual tower cooler.

Just make sure your case is tall enough.

The intel Stock ones are ugly and well quite noisy in some cases as well... A cooler cpu is a happy cpu.

so you are getting stock cooler, presume just an i5, not that much of cooling is needed unless your are upgrading soon..

anything fits a 12cm & 4 heatpipes will do, more importantly pick one with best look

Extremely overpriced for what you get with performance roughly in line with a 212 EVO, so I can't say I'd really recommend buying it. You could get a Shadow Rock Slim or a Pure Rock from be quiet! which would have a similarish look while costing less, performing about the same, and almost undoubtedly being quieter.

Though pretty much all the CPU coolers in that general "size" range perform very similarly thermally, a few degrees either way. I guess its a matter of if the price increase is worth the aesthetics and fans vs buying any other 120mm thicc stack on the market.

You pay a lot for the MSI badge and looks, but as you two said it is basically a high quality Hyper 212. At that price/performance a 120MM AIO makes far more sense.

 

IMO, either spend less and buy a Hyper 212, or spend the same or more and get a way beefier cooler.

Where are you getting that info? It's certainly better than a Hyper 212 Evo and performs better than the SR Slim or Pure Rock.

I have an Intel Core i5 9400f and I know it doesn’t really need a cpu cooler, but the stock intel cooler is a big eye sore so I want something that looks good. I’m looking for some people’s personal opinions on these two coolers and which you like better.

The Core Frozr L performs better but I think the Gammaxx GT looks better. 

If it's a matter of aesthetic, go with whichever you think looks better.
