Will an RTX card bottleneck my overclocked FX-9590?

In my main build, I am currently running an overclocked FX-9590 (@5.0Ghz) paired with an overclocked R9 390X TRI-X (+300 clock) and wanted an upgrade from the usual 40-55FPS I'm getting in new games. I'm pretty sure an RTX card will bottleneck my FX-9590, but I just want to double check just in case it works fine or only lightly bottlenecks. I'm just not sure that I want to stick with older-gen GPU's if I have the money for (example) a GTX 1080Ti but could also afford a used RTX card instead, I really don't wanna force myself into last-gen hardware for current-gen prices. I might have to start an entirely new build otherwise. Anyone else running a similar build that could provide some insight?

Upgrade to Ryzen before your CPU causes the next Chernobyl. The 9590, even at 5GHz cannot come close to a modern Ryzen CPU

My FX 8350 bottlenecks the crap out of my R9 Fury - yes it will be a serious bottleneck.  I know a guy here with a FX 8350 GTX 1080 ti - he enjoyed 4k @ 45 average FPS with some settings turned down.  He replaced the FX 8350 and realized just what he was missing out on.

 

However if you don't care, it will work fine until you upgrade your CPU and mobo/ram to really let that card sing.

Currently yes, but that's what the upgrade is for, I didn't want to spend $$$$ on an entirely new build if I don't have to.

Ive got a board that supports the FX 9590...and man just pushing my FX 8350 to 220w caused so much heat...so much heat lol I cant imagine that CPU without a custom loop not heating up an entire room on its own lol

Your CPU is going to be your biggest problem, a modern Ryzen CPU is like twice as fast for gaming, especially with 3600mhz RAM, and there's a solid kit for a reasonably price in that list. 3600mhz CL 16.

You can get a cheaper MSI B450 board, but I'd just go ahead and get an X570 board for the long haul.
