Is this normal in canada?

I mean... is this private or public internet? whether these very low speeds are normal or not depends on a lot of factors not stated by you

To add to this, if it turns out that is normal then you should move providers ASAP.

For one, it's Bell Canada, so go figures.

 

But no, this is not normal.

 

Even when I had Bell DSL in a small rural town, (6 Mbps down), I was able to get the advertised speeds.

 

Now, I am on a 60 Mbps down cable internet line and I can routinely get about 70 Mbps down at peak.

wifi or wired? one needs to use a wired connection with only 1 device trully connected. no wireless or any other device but the testing machine connected

Here are my test results.

 

I have NetFox cable internet that runs on Cogeco lines and it's a 60 Mbps down/10 Mbps up line. And the test results show that.

 

I'm in Southwest Ontario.
