hey so i have both m.2 slots populated on my mobo is there any way i can add more storage without using 2.5 inch ssds

my mobo is the b450 gaming pro carbon ac

You could get a M.2 to PCI.e riser card.

Well, looking at the manual it appears you're correct. Once you install M2. drives, everything is disabled except PCI_E1.

How big are your SSDs? I would say max them out at 1Tb each before worrying about getting more.
