physical copy or digital copy ?

From July... This came as part of a physical collectors edition. I never used the disk so no idea what was on it. Maybe the installer, but as an MMO, there's a ton of updates to download anyway. There was a code that I needed to enter to activate it on my account and it downloaded updates as needed.

What do you guys buy, physical copy or ~steam copy of a game?

And also one question =$ if one game has a steam code in it and you type it into the steam, does that mean i wont need CD and I'll be able to download it from another computer when logged into my account?

You'll be very hard pressed to find modern games with discs. They just come with a game code. What specifically are you talking about?

If they made physical copies of the games I played, I'd buy just to have.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

It wasn't even that different before now. My copy of Portal 2 installs Steam and some of the game from the disc, and then just downloads a majority of it since it's tied to your account now anyways, and that was something like 2013 that I got that.

Really the only truly disc-based games are for consoles anymore, and oftentimes even those have so much in the way of day-one install downloads that you're not a whole hell of a lot better off getting a disc over a download.

Physical releases either only have a license code and no disc or a disc with hardly any of the install data and still requires using the license code into the specific service platform to download the whole game.

Started being the case with Half-Life 2. Surprised that the Steam-DVD combo was used as late as 2013.
