DocYoda

Which one of these wires is the PWM wire? I will be installing this in a 2 pin connector in my UPS. Thank you

there is no pwm here.

Normally, red is +12v, black is ground, and yellow is tach.

I wouldn't mess with it ?  What is your problem for doing this ?  Noctua will cool much better then stock with less noise.  If you have ballz do it.

Oh. what do tach mean? Will it still work on a 2 pin header on the UPS mobo?

For fans usually:

Black = Ground

Red = +12V (usually) & (color may vary based on vendor)

Yellow = Tachometer (color may vary based on vendor)

Blue = PWM (color may vary based on vendor)

This fan does not support PWM.

It would still work with just the Black/Red wire but if fan speed control relies on PWM then the fan will run at 100% every time it turns on.
