Page file on same SSD as the OS?

i5member

Hey

SSDs are pretty cheap now. I wanna put one or two 120gb SSDs (probably not M.2 via adapter, just 2.5") into an old PC that only had HDDs.

I haven't found anyone answering this particular question:

Is it worth it to get one SSD for Windows 10 and a separate one for its page file? (Or do I just put both on one SSD, and if so, will it matter if it's in the same partition?)

(The PC is an i5 with 4gb RAM)

Thanks kindly

Ya no point in getting 2 small drives. Just get 1 larger one. For the price of 2 120's you can get a single 512 these days.

It's not going to matter where the page file is.

Probably just go for a 240gb SSD at least at this point, preferably one that has a cache for longevity.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I can get a fancier 120gb

Cacheless 240GB SSDs are as low as $30
