That is a solid monitor but you wont get 144hz it will be 60hz and that is why price leaps once you go from 60hz to 144hz.  IMO the whole point of ultra wide screen is for gaming not desktop creativity as those guys use larger 4k monitors.  What has impressed you with this monitor, because its awkward to get a wide screen like that with no 144hz.  That tells me your looking for a monitor for mostly desktop work, in that case do not bother with a 21:9 as you will get black borders on utube and movies and if you change the resolution other then the native resolution.  Most games support 21:9 but there are some that don't.  Now going 49" super ultra wide there are only a number of games for support for that.  Why don't you get a mammoth 4k 16:9 ?

Asus Sabertooth x79 / 4930k @ 4500 @ 1.408v / Gigabyte WF 2080 RTX / Corsair VG 64GB @ 1866 & AX1600i & H115i Pro @ 2x Noctua NF-A14 / Carbide 330r Blackout

Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface / KRK Rokits 10" / Sennheiser HD 650 / Logitech G Pro Wireless Mouse & G915 Linear & G935 & C920 / SL 88 Grand / Cakewalk / NF-A14 Int P12 Ex
AOC 40" 4k Curved / LG 55" OLED C9 120hz / LaCie Porsche Design 2TB & 500GB / Samsung 950 Pro 500GB / 850 Pro 500GB / Crucial m4 500GB / Asus M.2 Card

I understand.  So your willing to go dual monitor and have the space for it ?  Then that monitor is a no brainer for that price.

Man remember the CRT days 2000 dollars I payed for a 22.5 inch flat 2304x1440@80hz.  Man UT99 was soo smooth no motion blur LOL.  I used it for over 10 years.  Now for 299 that is almost free lol
