getting pi hole to acually work

ok so i installed pi hole onto a rasberry pi.  The pi has a static ip address.  When i log into the pi hole console, it says that there are 3 clients, my router which i changed the dns server to the same as the pi, local host, and my nas for some reason.  Now how do i get the pi hole to acually work.  The reason why i made it was to get rid of adds on all my devices and help speed up my internet even if its not by much.  any help would be appreciated as this is not my area of epertiece.

You set the DNS and Gateway addresses of the devices you want to run through Pi Hole to your Pis IP.
