yep! Now tighten in cross pattern and hand tight -> you're golden.

Also there is almost no to much (besides the mess) as videos from LTT and GN show

Just don't follow the verge's pc building guide for the amount of thermal paste you need (or pretty much anything else in that video) and you'll probably be fine, yeah.

It's perfectly fine, I'd put even a tad more maybe a bit hard having an exact idea from photo.

Thermal paste has been proven that you only get negative results from too little and an absurd too much so it's better make sure you at least have enough.
