What if you built a super high-end gaming PC, but you don't have money to buy games

hippity_hoppity

Have any of you experienced that? Imagine you spent all of that money you saved from years ago, on a PC that can run any game above 100FPS, high settings, on 4K, but then you realized you have no games on your library. Then you have to save even more money to spend on demanding games.

Let me know down there :P

save some money then, you can always cut unnecessary spenses. like canceling cable, using cheap phone plan etc. i made a post about this

me tho, i have a good pc, and too many games, only a few i want to play. currently 80 games on steam, ~10 more on other platforms.

why everybody post the spec of their rig here? i dont! cuz its made of mashed potatoes!

You can "borrow" the games and then pay when you get the money. Or dont, im not judging anyways.

If you've a bunch of older games, try running them at absurdly high resolutions and AA settings. Some older games look brilliant running at 4K, or even downsampled from 4K (if you're running a lower resolution monitor.)

It's not like the games I already have simply disappear upon building a new PC, so I'd play what I have already, and at better quality settings and FPS than I did before.

Can't say I've had this experience, but I would imagine the thing to do would be to use your investment (High-end PC) to make money. Or just, make money lol.

Couple years ago would be to let it mine for a while lol.

CPU: Vulnerable to Meltdown | Motherboard: Has LEDs that I can't see | RAM: Bought too much | GPU: Mostly satisfactory so far in our relationship | Case: Shiny, black, very heavy and tall, with a Firefox sticker | Storage: Has too many old HDDs | PSU: Hasn't blown up yet like it's predecessor | Displays: Mismatched from Craigslist | Cooling: As many Noctuas as there are fan headers | Keyboard: Keys are fading |  Mouse: Needs cleaning |

The funny part is how both games are cancer for entirely different reasons. With CS:GO, it's because the players are massive shitheads en masse. With Fortnite, it's because the game itself is the big succ with its' massive learning curve and weird mechanics.

Witcher 3 is on sale for $15 on GoG and will certainly push your PC in addition to being an excellent game itself. If this still proves too much to afford, I'd probably recommend reconsidering your investment into PC gaming in the future as clearly, your grasp on financials is in need of improvement.
