NC523SFP Driver Install Failing

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

Just bought a HP NC523SFP 10Gb 2-port Server Adapter from eBay. I have installed it and seems to be working (based on the flashing lights on the card). When I open up my server and try to install the driver it says the Software could not be installed because the required hardware is not present in the system or the software/firmware doesn't apply to this system. The server OS is Server 2012 R2 as specified by the driver. What am I doing wrong. The drivers i'm installing are on the following site: https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/km/product/4345884/Product#t=DriversandSoftware&sort=relevancy&layout=table&f:@kmswtargetproductenvironmentlatest=[4345884_Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2]&f:@kmdoclanguagecode=[cv1871440]&hpe=1.

Are you sure it's actually a NC523SFP and not a similar model?

As far as i know, according to the model number on the card it should be the NC523SFP.
