I'm looking to get a new motherboard for my PC is there anything I should know before swapping parts over? Or is it just swap and go?

You should check whether the new motherboard is compatible with your CPU.

Memory compatibility may also be an issue.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
