Is this a good upgrade?

Lowspecgamer

I found someone selling a Gtx 1060 6gb unopened for $200 and I got it down too $140. I already made sure the seller was trust worthy and safety nets are already in place. Would the Gtx 1060 6gb msi be a good upgrade from my Rx 570 4gb ?

Not really a upgrade,  More so a side grade.  Save your money.  Both 570 and 1060 6GB are 1080p video cards.  I wouldn't do this side grade.  See if you can get your hands on a 1070 or 2060 which are again 1080p gaming card but will give you that 144fps @ 1080p medium to high settings.  You wont be able to do anything new or special with the side grade....

If you can get some money for that 570 then it might be worth it.

That means you're moving from one thing over to another that basically performs the same.

Then either you or your dad should buy it.

Your going to need to dial down your resolution and game settings if you want 144fps @ 1080p.  Im assuming you have a 144hz monitor.  If you have a 60hz monitor then you will be pleased by a sustained 60fps.

Ouch that changes the ball game my friend.  You will never reach 144hz but things will still be buttery smooth at 80fps and 100fps then 110fps then down to 70fps and back to 60fp.  It should never fall from 60fps.

I would suggest finding a used Vega 56 or 64 for around $200-250 (equivalent to about 2 rx570s or 2 1060s). It would be a much better value.
