Best recommendations for 2015 gaming

I was thinking of buying a laptop. Since most of my favorite games are from 2015 and backwards, I'd like to get something that is both economical but could also smoothly run a game like Witcher 3 (high settings, 60 FPS) which would probably be the most demanding game out of that bunch. Thanks to all in advance.

What's your budget? It really depends on how much money you are willing to blow.

Around 500 bucks.

It's actually intended to be a laptop for work but... I know I'll just use it a bit for gaming as well. Don't want it to be my main rig though.

Are you from US? Can stretch budget to $600? No preferences on display size and battery life?

Preferably 1920x1080. Battery life would probably be irrelevant. I can indeed stretch to $600.

Look for a 1050. I don't think a 1050§Ti is possible with that budget. Also you can basically forget about Witcher 3 @60fps unless you fit a 1060 or better in it.

Look for something with Vega 8/10 like Thinkpad E495/E595 (this is better) and Ideapad S340-15API, however it's only good for light gaming

Thanks, I know it might be too ambitious indeed. What about Mass Effect 3 ? Would a 1050 do ?

Then again, checking prices I've seen those 1050 models are around $1000 dollars ?

He wants to play Witcher 3. Idk if the Vega 10 will be able to produce more than 20fps @1080p ?

Look at benchmarks. But anything lower is pointless for such games

Let's lower expectations a bit... replace Witcher 3 with Skyrim as the most demanding game this laptop will see. Would a Thinkpad E595 or a 1050 do nicely for high settings and 60 FPS ?

Damn... even for Skyrim ?

You've been very helpful guys. I might just have to take that money and invest it in the desktop.

It depends on the game I think.
