IOS 13 Keyboard is really “ducked up”

Gboard does this too but there's also nothing keeping it from learning "fuck"

You can also toggle off the censor in the settings.  Doing this is only a default

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

As someone who doesn't swear anyway, I find this absolutely hilarious.

Likewise, though auto-correct removing my industry specific words was annoying for a long time.  At this point, I just laugh at anybody who still has auto-typo enabled and can't type it themselves.  I'm sorry, sending me bad words and sentences that make no sense in an e-mail is not excused by the footer appended that says "from mobile, autocorrected"

No offense to you, OP, but why is this considered news? It seems particularly ironic given the way American culture treats swear words. I mean they're censored on TV, radio and to some extent, even YouTube creators do it. With standards like these, what do you expect Apple (and other keyboard providers) to do, suggest a wide array of swear words in their auto correction? Plus, as far as I can tell it was never able to correct these in the first place (though granted, I've never used English auto-correct).

I've always had a Swiper No Swiping policy for typing on touchscreens, so I don't care. ?

I wonder if anyone got the reference.

Auto correction only enhances lazyness and is infuriating to deal with to a point it made me uninstall the damn thing. I used Microsoft's keyboard (SwiftKey?) and it drove me insane when I wanted to use slang or unusual technical terms and it kept trying to "fix" them in a wrong way. Then I decided to turn off all the damn auto corrections and learned to write words properly myself. And I'm not even native English so doing it right also helped me improve my own skills.

I not only turn off auto-type/auto-fill, I even turn off auto-correct.  I prefer to monitor for and correct my own mistakes.  I still allow it to notify me of a misspelling, in case I overlook something.  Ironically, I've had instances where my spelling notification actually tries to tell me an accurately spelled word is not correct.

Instead of pressing individual keys, you simply drag your finger along the path to the next letter.  It's kind of a gesture based keyboard, instead of a typing based one.  Personally, I'm not a fan of them, but to each their own.

I never liked swyping either. It just feels weird. Imagine dragging finger over physical keyboard to type. To me, it feels that kind of weird.
