What ssd are you using. 64gig seems a bit small and you don’t really wanna go above half the storage.

if you got cash buy a Corsair m.2 or Samsung 970, if ur on a budget buy a mx500 or something.

5% more performance in gaming or 50% more performance in everything else? I know which one I'm picking, and it certainly isn't the first option.

I don't know if the Hyper 212 EVO is gonna cool the i9 9900k efficiently. That thing is a nuclear reactor. And you can get a 2080 super for the same price as a 2080

The 9900K runs extremely hot and uses absurd amounts of power. The 212 won't even be able to cool it at stock. If you have any to obe clock the cpu And gpu, a 650W PSU is a good idea. The 9900K uses as much as 200W when pushed by itself. Another 250W for an over locked 2080 and you only have 100W left over for everything else.

Though honestly, the 9900K is a bad investment. A 3900X is faster, cooler, more efficient and costs the same. Not to mention the dozen or so severe security flaws in Intel cpus that have been discovered.

As @Epimetheus said, your cooler won't cut it. This CPU throttles even under mid range water coolers. You will need something way more substantial. Also 550W PSU is cutting it way too close for my liking. I would go with 650W to have some breathing room.

If you are going with the 3900x, I would recommend you ddr4 3600. Above that you don't have performance gains due to the infinity fabric, and bellow that, the infinity fabric will underclock to meet the ddr frequencies (see this).
