Untick first and second options on the NIC you dont want SMB connection on.

Okay, so here is my setup:

 

I have a file server on one side of me, and my desktop on the other. My shares are done over SMB in Windows. Both systems have 2 different networking devices, an integrated one and a card. The cards in both cases are faster than the built in (especially on the file server side), and I want to make sure I am using the quickest link. I had this figured out on macOS, but Windows seems to be a totally different ballgame.

 

Any help would be appreciated!

Do you have a network map? Why not just use the fast network card?

 

Do they have different IPs? Just give it the IP you want to use.
