EVGA 780 Ti Classified K|ngp|n Edition: In SLI!

VSG

I got 2 albums worth of it, only other thing I can do is take a picture of them inside my case.

Anyway I finished benching Tomb Raider and RE 6. Numbers in post 116.

lol

I had to RMA one of my golden cards, waiting on the replacement now. Hopefully it is just as good but it is unlikely. I also will probably be doing a new build in a massive CaseLabs TX10 so I will be doing a build log if that happens.

When the replacement returns, I will post a picture of them inside the case. It will be in May however since I will be out of the country all of April.

Funny how this is named after a drug dealer.

It's named after a overclocker, but if you are going on more general terms, as in a kingpin. A kinpin can be anyone who is the head of something, said person does not need to be a drug dealer, could be a chief officer in a bank, or the kingpin of trains in New York. Though, kingpin is generally regarded as someone who is the head of something illegal. So, 50/50.

I thought KingPin was the name of the drug dealer who got arrested ;P

Not really. Lots of people run 4-way SLI. Lots of enthusiasts out there. I would buy 4 if I could.

Lots of people? Sure thing! :] Most people have on-board graphics or a single GPU. I would trow a number on this and say about 97% of PCs have this.

I can be very wrong here of course, but thats just my guess.. then out off those 3% that do have multiple GPU's. I think about well.. less then 1% has 4 GPU's in their PC.

NZXT Phantom windowed, Asus Z77 Sabertooth, Intel 2600K, Noctua NH-D14, EVGA 780 Classified, Crucial Ballistic Tactical, Crucial M4 128GB + Samsung 850 EVO, Corsair RM850, Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Peripherals: Sennheiser HD598, FinalMouse Classic, SteelSeries Qck Heavy, Ducky Shine Zero (MX Brown), AOC G2460PF & Qnix QX2710

Build Log: Phantom - Antique Noctua

Yeah well 1% of even 0,1% might not be that much compared to the rest but it's still much if you think about how many people have PCs.

I personally don't enjoy 9-string guitars, but that doesn't change the fact that they look awesome as hell!

  • 2 weeks later...

Update: My RMA is complete and EVGA is sending me a replacement KPE now. Hopefully that is as good as my golden twins. I will test it out quickly before dismantling my 900D build.

In other news, you can now buy the KPE in Canada from Newegg and NCIX:

http://www.ncix.com/detail/evga-geforce-gtx-780-ti-c2-96103.htm

Expensive though and I bet it will still be wiser to buy from EVGA.com directly.

Why did you have to RMA?

I tried to see if I could find a reason all I saw is you mentioning RMA'ing it.

It started getting disabled by Windows quoting Error 43,it wasn't a BIOS error or anything Jacob or I could figure out so I reluctantly agreed to an RMA - it was one of the two best KPEs on OCN (the other I still have).

Props to EVGA as usual - my card had 3rd party BIOS on it and they had no issues at all. They even gave me a free shipping label to send my defective card back to them at their expense and offered me advanced RMA for nothing. I refused the latter since I was going to be out of the country all of April anyway.
