AMD RYZEN 5 3600 or 3700x?

Go to solution Solved by toobladink,

If you want to stream Battlefield, the 8 cores will help a lot with accomplishing that. You should easily be able to stream on 64 player servers. As @Wolfycapt said, probably 1080p60. I personally think it would be worth it in your case.

Hi

I was planning on getting the Ryzen 5 3600, but after saving up more than expected I was wondering if a 3700x will make alot of difference.

What I'm planning on doing:

Multi-tasking (heavy game + youtube/spotify or streaming + other stuff)

Gaming

Streaming

Heavy gaming like forza horizon or battlefield (current cpu is unable to handle these games)

I don't mind spending 140€ more, but I wanna know if it's worth it or not.

I'm looking for a the cpu thats similar to i7-9700k or 9900k

I mean, the 3600 is more than enough for that but if you want to get a 3700X, no harm in that. It's 2 extra cores, more cache and extra threads.

since you can afford it and you also play Heavy Cpu games. and of course, streaming

the 3700x is high-end, and that good you can stream like probably 1080p60.

6core is like the bare minimum for streaming. 4core is questionable but still works but not recommend it.  if 6 core can do well. then 8 core is very smooth speaking solely for streaming

If you're streaming heavy titles like Horizon and Battlefield then definitely the 3700x, it's always better to have the power but not use it than wishing you had the power and not having it.

If you do a lot of streaming, then the 3700x. If it's just something you do from time to time, just save the money.
Worth is something that's entirely subjective; you can't really get the answer here. It's something only you can decide for yourself.
