EZ Debug Light on MSI B450M PRO-M2

Hi Guys,

I'm having issues with my PC after replacing my CPU and Motherboard with a Ryzen 5 3600 and a MSI B450M PRO-M2. I kept my NVIDIA 1050 TI, EVA 450 B PSU, and 128 GB Sandisk ssd from my last build.

Although my cpu and case fan are spinning, The EZ Debug CPU light is on on the motherboard, and nothing is showing on the computer. I tried restarting CMOS by removing the battery for 10 seconds, and replugging in all the cables, and removing and reseating cpu along with the ram. Appreciate any tips or help, Thanks in advance!

Did you update BIOS prior to installing the 3600?

With the flash back button. That Mobo doesn't support your CPU out of the box, you need to update the bios first.

-Remove CPU and RAM

-Download BIOS

-Paste into fat32 flash drive and rename MSI.ROM

-insert flash drive into flash back USB slot

-Hit flashback button and wait 5 minutes while the led blinks

Seems like you got one of the few MSI boards that doesn't have it. MSI is the preferred b450 board for their VRMs and flashback button.

You will need a 1st or 2nd gen CPU to flash the bios. A local shop could do it or you could hit up AMD for a free bootkit.
