Is this PSU "decent"

Is this PSU good enough to power my future Ryzen 5 2600x and RX 570, I plan to try to overclock my CPU. I just want to know will my PC explode in like 2 months or no, it has 3 years warranty if that matters.

It's light on power too, btw.  Grab a 450w+ better quality unit.

That's a 240W firecracker that will explode the minute you load up the system. Don't buy fire hazard power supplies.

jeez... Why are these things even being sold, that thing would just go poof and you've destroyed your entire build.

 

I recommend at least 450w+ and maybe 80+ Bronze at the minimum and stay away from brand names you don't recognize.

Even brand names you do recognize sell garbage - EVGA sell the W series power supplies and they're marginally better than the fire cracker here.

Truth to that. Even sometimes their 'better' quality stuff fails, I bought a 750w 80+ Gold PSU and it just up and failed about a day after finally getting it working.

Yeah - though in this case it's about failing with a click and not killing stuff (good PSUs) or failing with a fiery inferno engulfing the PC (cheap crap)

But I used a couple of websites that tell you how much power do you need, put in all my hdd's and stuff and the most it said was like 485W

I mean, that PSU isn't actually 600 watts, that's a sham.

That's a high estimate but better than it being too low. The issue with this psu is that it's about a 260w psu if even. They just lied about it on the label like many low end psu's do. The quality of the components is also questionable at best and considering how cheap this is it's the cheapest stuff put in there that allows it to turn on. What you want is a QUALITY 450w or higher unit and not risk your computer and house in case this crap unit blows in a spectacular way because you can be sure they cheaped out on any internal protections if they are even there.

Because the industry has no oversight.

 

It would take a class action lawsuit large enough to shut down at least one of these fraudulent companies for others to become to scared to keep selling these garbage power supplies.
